Description
Interested in fun outdoor activities and want to make new friends?
You want to have a great time and learn new skills? Scouts Canada
offers all boys and girls the opportunity to live some great adventures
and many outdoors activities. Rewarding positions are also available
for interested adults who may want to help as leaders – full training is
given. We’re ready - all we need is you!
• BEAVERS - 5, 6 and 7 years old
This category is associated with fun activities. The program has been
designed with the kids’ expectations in mind. It is a simple and flexible
program, deriving its theme from the beaver and the beaver colony. It
aims at instilling notions of sharing and learning within a group, while
stressing strong links with nature. The program offers many outdoors
activities and outings.
• CUBS - 8, 9 and 10 years old
This program is geared towards the needs of 8 to 10 year old
children. We hope to awaken the youth's curiosity level and meet
their need for adventure through outdoor activities. This consists
of a wide variety of activities including camping, games, arts and
crafts, music, stories, theatre, outdoor activities and other activities
earning them stars and badges.
• SCOUTS - 11 to 14 years old
The scout program is made for outdoor life and activities associated
with nature and the environment. The program offers a wide
spectrum of activities : in 2009, we went rock climbing, kayaking,
canoeing, skiing, geocaching and much more…. and we had a blast!
• VENTURES – 14 to 17 years old
We offer your teenager the possibility to join a Venturer group which
offers a much more challenging program for the older youth. If
registration numbers are sufficient, you may even be able to start as
early as September.

Ages 5 and up
Description
Guiding provides opportunities for fun, friendship
and adventures. Through our different imaginative
and innovative activity choices, girls are encouraged
to reach their potential, be independent, confident
and caring. We empower them to give leadership and
develop their decision-making and life skills. Guiding
helps them connect with their community and with the
wider world.
In 2010, Girl Guides of Canada will celebrate its 100 th
anniversary of giving girls the chance to be the best
they can be. We have a lot of exciting events planned to
mark our 100th anniversary.
