4.2.6 Age distribution of inventories <strong>and</strong> operating hours<br />
Figure 6 depicts the age distribution of inventories <strong>and</strong> operating hours for hydraulic<br />
excavators <strong>and</strong> dumpers (construction machinery). Age distribution varies according to<br />
machine type <strong>and</strong> engine-power class. Due to the age dependency of operating hours<br />
(see Fig. 5), the age distribution of the latter differs from that of the inventories.<br />
