The Global Personnel
Recruitment System has
been designed to simplify
and speed up the application
process, allowing applicants
to create and save a personal
profile and use this to apply to
multiple positions. Users can
then monitor the status of their
applications by logging into
their account.
The tool also allows UNOPS
to build rosters for specific job
profiles, as required by our
partners.
When UNOPS is asked to recruit, hiring managers
use the roster to identify qualified applicants who are
then personally invited to confirm their availability and
interest. This provides an opportunity for applicants to
submit a specific cover letter, or update their personal
profile with any further qualifications or skills. Our
partners can also choose to advertise a particular
position publicly within the system.
Job seekers can search the system for vacancies, or
to see the types of job profiles included in the roster,
without first having to create an account.
The roster can also be used to recruit under a
contractual modality called the Individual Contractor
Agreement (see page 11), developed by UNOPS to
offer flexibility and speed for non-core services at all
levels. The advantages of this contract are the range
of entitlements that can be selected for personnel,
its flexibility in application, and that the Individual
Contractors selected via our online roster can be
deployed within a matter of days.
