Global Compact Geographical Origin according to the volume of orders<br />

Since 2006, the geogrpahical orogin of Global Compact members has evolved from a northern hemispehere majority (Europe<br />

and North America) to a more widespread representati<strong>on</strong>. In comparis<strong>on</strong> to the previous years’ analysis, data for <str<strong>on</strong>g>2011</str<strong>on</strong>g> show a<br />

positive evoluti<strong>on</strong>, as the aggregated share of UN suppliers from Africa, Asia and Central/South America with Global Compact<br />

membership has dramatically increased to reach almost half of the overall procurement volume. On the other hand, share of<br />

the suppliers from Europe has decreased from 46.7 percent to 12.6 percent in <str<strong>on</strong>g>2011</str<strong>on</strong>g> to the benefit of North American suppliers.<br />

Participati<strong>on</strong> of supplier from the Oceania c<strong>on</strong>tinues to be very limited.<br />
