The validity of the resi<strong>de</strong>nce permit is<br />
limited to the validity of your passport and<br />
cannot exceed the period of your studies.<br />
It is valid <strong>for</strong> a maximum one year, although<br />
it can be renewed. Upon your arrival, stu<strong>de</strong>nts<br />
who are concerned should prepare a<br />
dossier requesting a resi<strong>de</strong>nce permit<br />
(“carte <strong>de</strong> séjour”) which will be transmitted<br />
to the Foreigners’ Office of the District<br />

exchange stu<strong>de</strong>nts beginning their studies<br />
in <strong>Reims</strong> in the fall term.<br />
Free French courses take place every<br />
morning and gui<strong>de</strong>d tours will be organized<br />
(visits to champagne cellars, to the<br />
regional park of Champagne, museums, etc.)<br />
