ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES<br />

For exchange stu<strong>de</strong>nts:<br />

Once you are selected by your university<br />

you will receive an application <strong>for</strong>m and a<br />

“learning agreement”from the International<br />

Relations Office (SRI).<br />

These two documents should be filled in and<br />

signed be<strong>for</strong>e your arrival at the URCA. They<br />

should be transmitted to the (SRI):<br />

• at the latest by May 15th <strong>for</strong> the<br />

exchange stu<strong>de</strong>nts<br />

• be<strong>for</strong>e November 1st <strong>for</strong> the ERASMUS<br />

stu<strong>de</strong>nts coming <strong>for</strong> the second term<br />

you must <strong>de</strong>monstrate your level of French<br />

proficiency (European reference B2)<br />

For the international<br />

stu<strong>de</strong>nts intending to<br />

acquire a <strong>de</strong>gree at the URCA :<br />

It is necessary to follow the so - called a<br />

preliminary admission procedure:<br />

• Deadline <strong>for</strong> international stu<strong>de</strong>nts outsi<strong>de</strong><br />

Europe: from the 1st of December to the<br />

31st January. (As part of this procedure, You<br />

must <strong>de</strong>monstrate your level of French<br />

proficiency – European reference B2 –<br />

by passing a language test.)<br />

• Deadline <strong>for</strong> European stu<strong>de</strong>nts: from the<br />

20th of January to the 20th of March.<br />

Visa<br />

If you are not a resi<strong>de</strong>nt of one of the 30<br />

member countries of the European Economic<br />

Community (EEC), Andorra, Monaco,<br />

Switzerland, San - Marino or the Vatican, you<br />

must acquire a visa (“type D”) be<strong>for</strong>e your<br />

arrival. The request must be submitted to<br />

the Consulate or the Embassy of France in<br />

your country at least three months be<strong>for</strong>e<br />

your <strong>de</strong>parture.<br />

If you are not a resi<strong>de</strong>nt of the European<br />

Economic Community and your study period<br />

in France is longer than 3 months, then the<br />

acquisition of a stu<strong>de</strong>nt resi<strong>de</strong>nce permit is<br />

compulsory once you arrive in France.<br />

On the website of Campus France you can<br />

find <strong>de</strong>tailed in<strong>for</strong>mation concerning the<br />

enrollment procedure, the visa and the<br />

resi<strong>de</strong>nce permit: www.campusfrance.org<br />

Most of the international stu<strong>de</strong>nts outsi<strong>de</strong><br />

of Europe who intend to earn a <strong>de</strong>gree at<br />

the URCA must go to the “Centre pour<br />

les étu<strong>de</strong>s en France” (CEF) of Campus<br />

France. Resi<strong>de</strong>nts from countries without<br />

a CEF procedure should go to the<br />

French Embassy.<br />
