Donna S. Wall, PharmD, BCPS, FASHP was elected<br />

by her peers to serve as the <strong>ACPE</strong> Board Liaison to the<br />

Commission in 2009 and was re-elected by her peers to<br />

serve as the 2010 <strong>ACPE</strong> Board Liaison to the Commission.<br />

The Commission receives staff support from the<br />

<strong>ACPE</strong> CPE staff.<br />

Commission Officers <strong>for</strong> 2010-2011 are Chair –<br />

Jeanine Dickerhofe, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of<br />

Colorado Department of <strong>Pharmacy</strong>, and Vice Chair - Scott<br />

Meyers, RPh, MS, FASHP, Illinois <strong>Council</strong> of Health-<br />

System Pharmacists. Outgoing officer Cline was thanked<br />

<strong>for</strong> her meritorious service as Chair of the CPE Commission.<br />

STAFF CHANGES<br />

The <strong>ACPE</strong> full-time staff has grown to 13 FTE. In<br />

April 2009, Rachael A. Deeds was hired as Administrative<br />

Assistant. In August, 2009, Jennifer L. Baumgartner<br />

was hired as Assistant Executive Director, Continuing<br />

<strong>Pharmacy</strong> <strong>Education</strong> Provider <strong>Accreditation</strong> Program.<br />

Consultants working with <strong>ACPE</strong> on accreditation activities<br />

included: Kimberly Catledge, Robert Elenbaas,<br />

Max Ray, Anne-Marie Sesti, and Dawn Zarembski.<br />

PUBLIC INTEREST PANEL<br />

The <strong>ACPE</strong> Public Interest Panel reviews all proposed<br />

professional degree program actions and recommendations<br />

and provides comments and recommendations to the<br />

<strong>ACPE</strong> Board of Directors <strong>for</strong> their consideration. The panel<br />

members <strong>for</strong> 2009-2010 were: Michael A. Diamond, President<br />

of World Resources Chicago and adjunct professor at<br />

Northwestern University and DePaul University; James E.<br />

Hall, MBA, Partner, Director and Chief Financial Officer,<br />

Apex Insurance Managers, LLC, Chicago; and Erin Keyser<br />

Norton, MBA, Vice President - Credit, Corporate and Investment<br />

Banking, Bank of Montreal / Harris NA.<br />

<strong>ACPE</strong> ACTIVITIES<br />

d A new Strategic Plan was developed, distributed<br />

to <strong>ACPE</strong> stakeholders, and implementation<br />

was begun.<br />

d The <strong>ACPE</strong> Report of Proceedings were distributed<br />

electronically to <strong>ACPE</strong> stakeholders and<br />

posted on the <strong>ACPE</strong> web site after the June<br />

2009 and January 2010 Board of Director meetings.<br />

Opportunity was given <strong>for</strong> the submission<br />

of written third party comments concerning<br />

qualifications <strong>for</strong> accreditation or preaccreditation.<br />

No comments were received.<br />

d Two issues of our newsletter, <strong>ACPE</strong> Update,<br />

were published and distributed to <strong>ACPE</strong> stakeholders.<br />

Sharon Hudson serves as the editor of<br />

the <strong>ACPE</strong> Update.<br />

d The Directory of Accredited Professional Degree<br />

Programs of Colleges and Schools of<br />

<strong>Pharmacy</strong> and the Directory of Accredited Providers<br />

of Continuing <strong>Education</strong> were maintained<br />

on the <strong>ACPE</strong> website. These directories<br />

provide both program/provider accreditation<br />

in<strong>for</strong>mation and public in<strong>for</strong>mation regarding<br />

the <strong>ACPE</strong> accreditation processes.
