PALIO REMIERO 

One of the summer appointment not to be missed is the Palio Remiero of the Cavallino‐Treporti quarters, a sport event which takes 

place every year in June (this year Sunday 9th June) and its origin is from the history of the Cavallino‐Treporti littoral. The challenge 

brings back the competition between the greengrocers of Sant'Erasmo, Vignole and Cavallino which every morning with their boats 

were used to go to the Rialto market to sell their products, creating downright competitions to come 

first and and take the best places. According to the tradition in fact, in this part of the east lagoon where the economy was mainly 

based on agricolture and fishing, every morning, , “ghebi” and canals were full of “caorline” – spacious and fast vessels which were 

used for merchandise and materials‐, full of vegetables and season fruits, where the littoral farmers vied for who the first was to get to 

Erbaria, the Rialto area where was located and still now exists the fruit and vegetable market. This is an event which combines sport 

and tradition and where the lagoon become the setting of an exciting and unique exhibition both for the inhabitants, both for the 

tourist which crowd our littoral during the summer.

For the eight year running Cavallino‐Treporti has been awarded the Blue Flag for its beaches, which 

is an annual award given by the FEE Italia for clean beaches.

Saturday 15 th June in Piazza Lido, from 9.15 pm, appointment with the very funny, musical of our Animation Team! Before 

the musical, from 8.30 pm, there will be the happy Mini Disco! 

BOBBY LIVE SHOW 

Sunday 16 th June (at 5.00 pm at the 

Amphitheatre): musical fun for everyone with 

Bobby, the circus monkey. In its live show, 

Bobby tells the tale of its entertaining 

adventures accompanied by lovely songs. You 

can 

sing, dance and make music together with 

Bobby while having a brilliant time. Verena 

Huber holds Bobby and is its voice. Robert 

Benedetti accompanies all their songs on 

guitar, and everyone can join in. Bobby 

fascinates and brings children together, 

encouraging them to take part and sing along 

with her. Bobby has also written and sung 

“Speedy Superstar” “Union Lido Happy 

Dance”, which have become the Union Lido

3 a MOONLIGHT HALF MARATHON 

Sabato 25 Maggio si svolge la terza edizione della mezza 

maratona internazionale Moonlight Half Marathon: 21 km 

percorsi in notturna, per scoprire tutti i volti dell’incantevole 

litorale veneziano, costeggiando la natura incontaminata della 

laguna di Cavallino Treporti e le lunghe e vivaci spiagge di

PROMO ACTIVITY 

Every Sunday evening in Piazza Venezia 

you will have all the information about excursions and 

routes to get to Venice and to explore the Cavallino‐ 

Treporti lagoon, to play the sports which Union Lido and 

Cavallino Sport Center offers to their guests and on the 

events which will take place, during the week, in the 

different locations of our Resort. Our animators will be 

present to have a first meeting with our youngest guests 

and to explain all the animation activities, from the mini 

club in the morning to the baby disco in the evening.

ON DISCOVERY TOUR BY THE SEGWAY 

Every Thursday 

A different relaxing and funny way to discover Cavallino‐Treporti! It is an unique and original 

experience for having a tour across our coastal area, on board of the friendly and flexible Segway. 

It’s an amusing, electric vehicle on two wheels for one person. The Segway is a kind of intelligent 

scooter, silent and ecological and doesn’t have any effect regarding the environmental pollution. 

We offer sightseeing tour which provides a touristic round trip on two wheels. The tour 

will be of about one hour and twenty minutes and costs 28,00 € per person. The minimum age for 

driving the 

Segway is 14 years, in case that the children won’t be accompanied by their parents. 

The excursion starts from the campsite Union Lido and you sign up at the Information Office in 

the pedestrian area.

The islands: MURANO, the island of the glass, 

BURANO, the island of the lace, TORCELLO, the 

island of the Romanesque basilica.

Most probably you will want to visit Venice. We would advise to wear suitable clothing 

especially for visiting churches and museums. Venice will be grateful for your visit and will be 

happy to invite you again. There is always a lot to discover in Venice. Time there has come to 

a standstill and this makes the city magnificently different from all the others. Venice is 

unique in itself. If you decide to visit Venice by yourself, you can use the excellent bus‐boat 

public service. 

From 13.05 to 21.09 there will be also a special ATVO bus from Union Lido to Punta 

Sabbioni and back, every day except Sundays and festivities.

You cannot buy tickets on the bus. You can purchase them at the Information Office and in 

the Art & Park Hotel.

The use of bikes or electric city rollers is only allowed to guests who are staying 

in remote parts of the campsite. In any case, it is only allowed for coming in and 

going out, using exclusively Via Bologna, Via Verona, Via Torino and Via Cavallino. 

We ask you to take great care using mono‐skateboards for the safety of 

everybody.

How to get the card: 

You will be given a Marino Club Card if you spend more than € 110,00 at the Marino Wellness Club, or if you book one of the Lodging &

The cards can be used for families of a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children. They are valid for the current Summer season and are only 

given to one member of the family. Holders will have a stamp added to their Union Lido Cards by the Fidelity Point staff at the Cashier’s 

Office, or at the Marino Club if they already have a Union Lido Card.
