There were 4 employees in the year (2009: 3 employees) with emoluments over £60,000
who accrued retirement benefits under the charity's defined contribution schemes. The
combined contributions for the year from UNICEF UK for those employees totalled £23,484.
The Executive Director's emoluments for 2010, excluding employer's pension costs,
amounted to £91,694.
Pension and retirement benefits
The charity operated two defined contribution pension schemes during the year with Scottish
Mutual and Friends Provident. The pension cost charge for the year represents
contributions payable to the schemes and amounted to £333,000 (2009: £321,000).
There were £nil outstanding contributions at the end of the financial year (2009: £nil).
