60 The process of identifying and documenting all health-related policies was challenging due to the number of policies
and the diversity of publication media and sites. Not all policies are published on the DoH’s website. The process
of identification was made much easier by a number of earlier mapping projects to which the author turned for
significant guidance in this regard, including Kallmann (2008), Giese and Koch (2008a), Coetzee and Streak (2004),
Save the Children UK (2006), and Khoza (2007).
