2009–12 as ‘the provision<br />
of comprehensive<br />
quality health <strong>and</strong><br />
social <strong>services</strong> in the<br />
home <strong>and</strong> community<br />
in order to promote,<br />
restore <strong>and</strong> maintain<br />
people’s maximum<br />
level of com<strong>for</strong>t, social<br />
functioning <strong>and</strong> health’.<br />
This programme, run<br />
jointly by the departments<br />
of Health <strong>and</strong> Social<br />
Development, aims<br />
to facilitate access to<br />
comprehensive <strong>services</strong>,<br />
including health <strong>and</strong><br />
social <strong>services</strong>, to<br />
promote, restore <strong>and</strong><br />
maintain the individual’s<br />
level of com<strong>for</strong>t, function<br />
<strong>and</strong> health, including care<br />
<strong>and</strong> support to the family<br />
members.<br />
