HIV test results, CD4<br />

cell count <strong>and</strong> clinical<br />

staging – this means<br />

either the provision of<br />

ARV prophylaxis with<br />

AZT from 14 weeks of<br />

pregnancy or lifelong<br />

ART if her CD4 cell<br />

count is below 350<br />

cells/mm³;<br />

<br />

appropriate treatments,<br />

such as those <strong>for</strong><br />

opportunistic infections<br />

management <strong>and</strong><br />

nutritional support;<br />

<br />

psychosocial support<br />

to HIV+ pregnant<br />

women;<br />

<br />

practices which reduce<br />

MTCT;<br />
