2.4.4 Comparison of first-order and second-order reactions<br />

Consider a first-order and a second-order reaction with the same initial concentrations<br />

and the same initial rate at = 0. As shown in Fig. 2.11 below, the rate of the<br />

second-order reaction rapidly slows down as time increases.<br />
