After interviewing experts in the field concerning the support of the governement
is giving them to import or produce sustainable pesticides. We discovered the
following:
1- They believe that the distribution of sustainable pesticides is profitable
2- The prices of sustainable products is still expensive sometimes
3- There is no enough legal framework to promote sustainably
4- No help from the governement to produce sustainably
5- Some small initiatives where mentioned: The ministry of Agriculture
has offered each organic farmer some bio pesticides (copper and
sulfure).
6- Government could play a role in facilitating the import of Bio pesticides
into Lebanon.
7- Encourage Research and Development.
8- Government should offer subsidies for the organic farming sector
mainly in the livelihood
