school in <strong>the</strong> US or Puer<strong>to</strong> Rico, and meet program-specific eligibility requirements.<br />

Scholarship amount: $1,000-$3,800<br />

How are <strong>the</strong> <strong>scholarships</strong> awarded? Students must <strong>have</strong> a financial aid package short fall <strong>of</strong> $1,000 or<br />

more.<br />

o 911 Education Fund<br />

Who is eligible <strong>to</strong> apply? Student must be <strong>the</strong> child <strong>of</strong> a parent who was killed or permanently disabled<br />

as a result <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> terrorist attacks. In addition, students must be accepted and enrolled full-time as an<br />

undergraduate at a Title IV eligible, accredited, postsecondary, two or four year college, university,<br />

vocational or technical school in <strong>the</strong> US or Puer<strong>to</strong> Rico, and meet program-specific eligibility<br />

requirements.<br />

Scholarship amount: $2,500 per applicant per school year.<br />

Scholarship amount: $500-$5,000<br />

vocational or technical school in <strong>the</strong> US or Puer<strong>to</strong> Rico, and be <strong>the</strong> first in <strong>the</strong>ir families <strong>to</strong> attend<br />

<strong>The</strong> Samuel Hunting<strong>to</strong>n Public Service Award provides a $10,000 stipend for a graduating college senior <strong>to</strong><br />

pursue public service anywhere in <strong>the</strong> world. <strong>The</strong> Award allows recipients <strong>to</strong> engage in a meaningful public<br />

service activity for one year before proceeding on <strong>to</strong> graduate school or a career.<br />

Proposals Requested: Students are encouraged <strong>to</strong> develop <strong>the</strong>ir own proposals for public service in this country<br />
