Who is eligible to apply? Applicants must be either an unadopted orphan, or are or were in foster care at least
one year at the time of their high school graduation.
Scholarship amount: $1,000 to $7,000
How are the scholarships awarded? Selection is based on academic merit, financial need, and written
recommendations. The scholarship is renewable.
Application process: Applications are available only on Orphan Foundation of America the above website
When can I apply for this scholarship? On or after January 1 of the award year.
What is the application deadline? There are two parts to the application; an on-line form which closes March
31, and hard copy materials which must have a postmark date of no later than April 15.

Offers: Scholarships, in the amount of $1,500 per individual, are available.
Criteria: Any youth who was affected through the death or disablement of a parent/legal guardian as a result of
the terrorist attacks on the the United states on September 11, 2001 is eligible. For further information and an
