The Scholarship was announced in recognition of Black History Month and will support twelve deserving
African-American students in pursuing their educational goals. These merit- and need-based scholarship grants
will be awarded to eligible college freshmen or sophomores or high school seniors who are planning to attend a
New England college/university.
Deadline for the 2006/2007 academic year was May 5, 2006 – see above website for 2007/2008 deadlines.
• NEDMA – New England Direct Marketing Association Scholarship
NEDMA Foundation’s Direct Marketing Scholarship is designed for a marketing, advertising, or
communications student who will have completed his or her sophomore or junior year by June 2006 and who is
seriously interested in a career in direct marketing. This opportunity consists of four parts: (1) $2,000 to be
applied to college tuition, (2) attendance at a nationally-sponsored seminar during the summer (3) A paid
Summer Internship. You’ll get hands-on direct marketing experience at an agency, client, printer, list company,
or production company. You’ll see how direct marketing is practiced in the real world, plus you’ll gain valuable
networking contacts for your future job search. Application Deadline Monday, February 10, 2006.
