The original objective of "taking care of our own" meant that scholarships were limited to
dependent children of KIA/MIA/POW US aircrews lost while serving in Southeast Asia during
the Vietnam War. Since then our eligibility criteria has expanded, which now allows us to award
grants in the following three categories:
The immediate dependents (spouse and children— natural or adopted) of any member of the US
Armed Forces listed in KIA or MIA status resulting from any combat activity involving our
military since August, 1964, including those lost in the World Trade Center and Pentagon events
of 9/11/01; the immediate dependents (spouse and children— natural or adopted) of military
aircrew members killed while performing aircrew duties on a non-combat mission; the
immediate dependents (spouse and children— natural or adopted) of current and deceased
RRVA-members. If deceased, the RRVA member must have been in good standing at the time
of death.

For dependents of Third Marine Division personnel (Marine or Navy) deceased or 100% serviceconnected
disabled veterans; and two-year members of the Association, living or dead.
Applicant must be: 17-26 years old, single. High school students not considered. Award

Navy, Marines.

37 th Infantry Division veterans who served in WWI, II, or the Korean conflict. Financial need is
