Requirements:
Open to unmarried dependent children of active, retired, or deceased members of the US Army.
Applicants may not have reached their 22 nd birthday before June 1 st of the school year that begins
the following September. For undergraduate study. Must submit financial form and official high
school transcript.

Applicant for the DUSA Scholarships must be a daughter or granddaughter only (including step
or adopted) of a career warrant (WO 1-5) or commissioned (2nd & 1st LT, CPT, MAJ, LTC,
COL and BG, MG, LTG or full General) officer of the U.S. Army who:
1. is currently on active duty or;
2. retired from active duty after at least 20 years service or;
3. was medically retired before 20 years of active service or;
4. died while on active duty or;
5. died after retiring from active duty with 20 or more years of service. U.S. Army must have
been the officer's primary occupation.

Grand Army of Republic Living Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility: Students who are lineal descendants of a Union veteran of the Civil War. The
scholarship is given in August to a Junior or Senior in a college or university who has
satisfactory scholastic standing (minimum 3.0 GPA), a good moral character and a firm belief in
our form of government. Applications are only given after completion of the Freshman College
year.

Navy Submariners and Navy members who have served in submarine support activities.
Availability: High School graduates and College Students
Eligibility: Children/Stepchildren of members or former members of the Submarine Force who
meet one of the following requirements:
• sponsor qualified in submarines and served on active duty in the Submarine
Force for at least 8 years.
• sponsor served on active duty in submarine support activities for a minimum
of 10 years.
• sponsor died on active duty while in the Submarine Force.
