The WALTER S. BARR SCHOLARSHIP
These awards for undergraduate education are made annually by the Scholarship Committee to
residents of Hampden County, MA who are members of the senior class at their local public or
private secondary schools. Awards are based on school records, college entrance examinations,
general attainments and financial need. Awards will be continued through the four year course if
the student's record and need justify such continuance.
College students continuing their studies in college -

Barr Scholarships are also available to students currently attending college. Second and third
year students often require a greater degree of financial assistance than do first year students.
Therefore, the Fund offers scholarships to college students resident in Hampden County (MA)
who are graduates of Hampden County secondary schools .

Requirements: Scholarships For Air Force Enlisted Dependent Children And Air Force
Sergeants Association Auxiliary Members
The Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA) and the Airmen Memorial Foundation (AMF) join
together annually to conduct a scholarship program to financially assist the undergraduate studies
of eligible, dependent children of Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command and Air National
Guard enlisted members in active duty, retired or veteran status. Applications are screened and
verified for eligibility prior to submission to the selection committee(s). The AFSA and
AUXILIARY programs have a membership requirement, but there is none for the AMF or
CMSAF programs.
