This is a private, benevolent endeavor established ten years ago with <strong>the</strong> help <strong>of</strong> a Canadian/American<br />

benefac<strong>to</strong>r. Financial assistance is available <strong>to</strong> full-time students in both Canada and <strong>the</strong> United States. Full<br />

Canadian or American citizenship is a requirement, available <strong>to</strong> both male and female students for all areas <strong>of</strong><br />

post-secondary study. A minimum GPA <strong>of</strong> 2.7 is required. Criteria o<strong>the</strong>r than strictly academic ability and<br />

financial need are considered in <strong>the</strong> selection process. Selected students will receive up <strong>to</strong> $3,000. Filing date<br />

for mailing applications in 2006 is JUNE 1 st .<br />

A student currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program is qualified <strong>to</strong> apply for <strong>the</strong><br />

KASF scholarship. <strong>The</strong> scholarship recipient is selected on <strong>the</strong> basis <strong>of</strong> financial need, academic achievement,<br />

school activities, and community services. Each applicant must submit an application <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> respective KASF<br />

region, in which each region is designated by <strong>the</strong> state where school is located.<br />
