The BCTGM International Scholarship Program awards ten (10) $1,000 one-time awards each year. The
competition is open to members of the BCTGM and to the children of members, all of whom must meet the
eligibility requirements established by the General Executive Board as well as the Rules and Procedures which
the GEB has also approved.
Deadline: All requirements are due at the Scholarship Program Office no later than March 31, 2006.

The Billy Cheverie Memorial Scholarship provides scholarship assistance to graduating seniors of Portsmouth,
York, and Winnacunnet high schools, and Traip Academy.
Students from these communities who attend St. Thomas High School, Philips Exeter Academy, or Berwick
Academy are also eligible to apply.
Awards are made to students who demonstrate a commitment to leadership, community service and academic
effort. Fund advisors also have an interest in students who have participated in athletics.

• Boy Scouts of America (NESA) Eagle Scout Academic Scholarships

Who is eligible to apply? Be an Eagle Scout and have received credentials from the national office.
Be a graduating high school senior entering college in the year a scholarship is applied for. Scholarships are
awarded on to those who graduate from high school in the calendar year in which scholarships are presented.
Scouts whose Eagle Scout board of review are held the same year of their high school graduation may apply in
that calendar year. They may receive a scholarship one time only.
Scholarship amount: Up to $48,000
How are the scholarships awarded? Competitive applicants must have an SAT score of at least 1090 and/or
ACT score of 26, have demonstrated leadership ability in Scouting and a strong record of participation in
activities outside of Scouting, demonstrate a financial need, and have an endorsement of a volunteer or
professional Scout leader who knows the applicant personally.
