What is <strong>the</strong> application deadline? <strong>The</strong> completed application must be postmarked by June 15, for <strong>the</strong> fall<br />

• Pine Tree State 4-H Foundation Scholarship<br />

Who is eligible <strong>to</strong> apply? Any senior with a record <strong>of</strong> 4-H activities who is graduating from a Maine high<br />

school.<br />

Scholarship amount: $1,000<br />

How are <strong>the</strong> <strong>scholarships</strong> awarded? A committee <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 4-H Foundation reviews applications and selects<br />

recipients. Awards <strong>to</strong> graduating high school seniors are based primarily on academic achievement and 4-H<br />

activities. <strong>The</strong> <strong>scholarships</strong> are not renewable.<br />

Application process: High school applicants must submit an application, a high school transcript, a<br />

recommendation from a county extension agent or a 4-H leader, and <strong>the</strong>ir 4-H s<strong>to</strong>ry. Applications are available<br />

from high school Guidance Offices, county extension <strong>of</strong>fices, and Pine Tree State 4-H Foundation,<strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

Who is eligible <strong>to</strong> apply? Applicants must be a dependent <strong>of</strong> an individual employed full-time by an RMA<br />

member bank or dependent <strong>of</strong> an individual RMA associate. Applicant must be enrolled on a full-time basis at<br />

an accredited institution <strong>of</strong> higher learning. applications accepted for all undergraduate courses <strong>of</strong> study.<br />

However, special emphasis will be placed on individuals enrolled in a business or economic field <strong>of</strong> study.<br />

Scholarship amount: $750<br />

Application process: Applicant must fully complete <strong>the</strong> scholarship application. Applicant must provide an<br />

<strong>of</strong>ficial college transcript <strong>of</strong> grades. In a personal statement <strong>of</strong> 500 words or less, <strong>the</strong> applicant must describe<br />

<strong>the</strong>ir personal goals and how <strong>the</strong>ir educational plans relate <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong>m.<br />
