Crawford Memorial Scholarship – awarded to nursing students from the Southern Kennebec Valley region or to nursing employees within Kennebec Health System seeking professional growth. Available in odd-numbered years only. o Friends & Associates Scholarship – awarded to nursing students from the Southern Kennebec Valley region or employees within Kennebec Health System pursuing health care careers. Available annually.
o Kennebec Valley Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship – preference given to displaced homemakers pursuing a career in health care. Other students in health related fields may be considered. Available annually. o Kennebec Valley Medical Center Employee Activity Committee Scholarship – awarded to KVMC employees pursuing careers in health care. Available annually. o Kennebec Valley Medical Center Scholarship – awarded to medical center employees or their family members pursuing educational opportunities in professions in which the KVMC administration determines there is a demonstrated need. Available annually. o George Landwehr, M..D., Scholarship – preference given to KVMC nursing personnel seeking to further their education in obstetrics and gynecology. Other employees or students in health related field may be considered. Available annually. o Florida C. Lewin Memorial Scholarship – primary consideration is given to students from the KVMC service area who are pursuing nursing careers. Available in even-numbered years only. o Sarah L. (Sadye) Martel Scholarships – preference given to nursing staff members at KVMC’s Gardiner Division who choose to further their education in skilled nursing care. Next consideration are ancillary personnel at Gardiner working in skilled care, followed by any employee within Kennebec Health System interested in career in skilled care. Final consideration is given to any student from the KVMC service area entering the skilled care field. Available annually. o Ottie T. McCullum, Sr. Memorial Scholarship – primary consideration is given to students from the City of Augusta pursuing a nursing career. Available in even-numbered years only. o Antoinette Stevens, R.N., Memorial Scholarship – primary consideration is given to students from the KVMC service area pursuing a nursing career. Jenkins Scholarship The Maine Association of Family and Consumer Sciences is announcing the continuing availability of the Florence L. Jenkins Scholarship. It will be awarded at the annual spring meeting. Student must be a full-time applicant enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program in an area of family and consumer sciences (ie Nutrition, Child Development, or Fashion Merchandising). Nominee must be successfully completing his/her junior year with a sound academic record and have demonstrated outstanding professionalism.
