This scholarship is offered to women 30 years and older for job-related continuing education. Applicants must be Maine residents. Scholarship amount: $1,200 How are the scholarships awarded? The recipients of the above three scholarship will be submitted to the BPW State Federation for consideration for $1,200 scholarships in each category. Maine graduates of: Brunswick High School, Mt. Ararat High School, or a resident of the Brunswick area who could have attended either of the two high schools listed, but instead chose a private high school. Scholarship amount: $800 to $1,500 How are the scholarships awarded? Based on need, determined by a formula, which uses financial information listed on the student's FAFSA (a copy must be filed with one of the guidance offices by March 15th). Scholarship is renewable by reapplying (allowed two years of receiving BASAF award). Scholarship amount: $500 How are the scholarships awarded? Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and financial need. The state is divided into seven districts. When can I apply for this scholarship? On or after June 30 of the year prior to the award year. What is the application deadline? Completed application must be postmarked by May 1 of the award year. • Clyde Russell Scholarship Fund www.clyderussellscholarshipfund.org There are five different categories of awards they are: 1] Graduating High School Seniors (not to exceed $10,000.)** 2] Graduating High School Seniors Who Will Attend One of Maine’s Community Colleges (not to exceed $2,500.)** 3] Full or Part-time College or Graduate Students (not to exceed $10,000.)** 4] Full or Part-Time Maine Community College Students – (not to exceed $2,500.)** 5] Individuals in a Teacher Preparation Program (not to exceed $10,000.) This award is for a single year’s duration. Applicants may be declared education majors entering their junior/senior year in college, or an enrollee in a post-graduate program such as Masters in Arts in Teaching (MAT). Extended Teacher Education Program (ETEP), or any other educational program that results in teacher certification-granting by the State of Maine. **These awards will be to cover tuition, room, board, books and fees not to exceed their specific limits. Awards are paid directly to the winner. One-half will be paid upon evidence of successful completion of 1 st semester, second half upon completion of 2 nd semester in an accredited institution of higher education.
