About 2-5 AWIS College Scholarships are awarded <strong>to</strong> high school seniors each year. Female students who are<br />

H.S. seniors, planning <strong>to</strong> study science in <strong>the</strong> next academic year may apply; must be U.S. citizens who plan <strong>to</strong><br />

attend a college or university in <strong>the</strong> US; must <strong>have</strong> a 3.75 H.S. GPA (on a 4.0 scale); SAT score <strong>of</strong> at least 1200<br />

(math & verbal) or an ACT composite score <strong>of</strong> 25. Eligible fields include: behavioral, life, and physical<br />

sciences and engineering. <strong>The</strong> award may be used for any aspect <strong>of</strong> undergraduate education, including tuition,<br />

books, housing, and travel, for example.<br />

<strong>The</strong> deadline for receipt by AWIS <strong>of</strong> completed undergraduate applications is January. See <strong>the</strong> application<br />

instructions for <strong>the</strong> mailing address.<br />

• Budweiser Conservation Scholarship Program<br />

Deadline: Applications must be postmarked no later than January 13.<br />

Under <strong>the</strong> 2005 Budweiser Conservation Scholarship Program, a minimum <strong>of</strong> 10 <strong>scholarships</strong> <strong>of</strong> up <strong>to</strong> $10,000<br />

each will be awarded <strong>to</strong> cover students' expenses for tuition, fees, books, room and board, and o<strong>the</strong>r direct<br />

expenses related <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir studies.<br />

To be eligible for consideration, a student must be a U.S. citizen at least 21 years <strong>of</strong> age and enrolled in an<br />

accredited institution <strong>of</strong> higher education in <strong>the</strong> United States pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree<br />

(sophomores and juniors in <strong>the</strong> current academic year only) in environmental science, natural resource<br />

management, biology, public policy, geography, political science, or related disciplines.<br />
