o Applicants must be interested in pursuing a career in emergency medicine and <strong>have</strong> previous experience<br />

in an aspect <strong>of</strong> emergency medicine. This experience includes, but is not limited <strong>to</strong>, working as a<br />

paramedic, EMT, emergency room tech, search and rescue, independent duty corpsman, emergency<br />

department nurse or orderly. Experience working in a remote or rural site that handles emergencies<br />

routinely is also acceptable.<br />

o Applicants must <strong>have</strong> demonstrated an interest in and a pursuit <strong>of</strong> emergency medicine by <strong>the</strong>ir didactic<br />

and clinical rotations that are pertinent <strong>to</strong> emergency medicine. This interest must be verified by a<br />

faculty member.<br />
