Health Professions
Applicants must: be an American Indian or Alaska Native (Federally recognized only and applicant must be a
member of his/her tribe); be a high school graduate or equivalent; and be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in
a full or part-time study program leading to a degree in a health related professions school within the United
States for one of the health career priority categories listed above.
Documentation must be received from part-time applicants that their school and course curriculum allows less
than full-time status.

Students preparing for careers in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, physical or occupational therapy, and
medical technologies are eligible to apply. A student must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen, enrolled full time in a
school accredited in the field involved and application must be for at least the third year of college. R.N.
students must have completed the first year of schooling. Pre-med students are not eligible to apply. For those
students seeking degrees of M.D. or D.D.S. application must be for at least the second year of medical or dental
school.

This fund supports graduating seniors from Fryeburg Academy, Lake Region High School, and Oxford Hills
Comprehensive High School who plan to pursue studies in a medical field at a two-year community college or a
four-year college or university. Preference will be given to applicants majoring in nursing or physical therapy.

Amount: $500.
The applicant must be a Massachusetts resident enrolled in an accredited occupational therapy educational
program in New England at the professional or associate's degree level. He or she must be a member of the
Massachusetts Association for Occupational Therapy (MAOT) and the American Occupational Therapy
Association (AOTA), demonstrate a need for financial assistance, and have a sustained record of outstanding
scholastic achievement.
