• ADA Endowment and Assistance Fund, Inc. Minority Dental Student Scholarship Program<br />

<strong>The</strong> ADA Endowment and Assistance Fund, Inc. has as one <strong>of</strong> its charitable activities a scholarship program for<br />

minority dental students. This program was established <strong>to</strong> encourage students <strong>to</strong> seek or continue <strong>to</strong> pursue<br />

careers in dentistry.<br />

Applicants must be full time students. Full time status denotes a minimum <strong>of</strong> 12 credit hours. Criteria for<br />

eligibility is determined by <strong>the</strong> applicant’s demonstrated financial need, academic achievement and typed<br />

biographical sketch and two letters <strong>of</strong> reference. All applicants must be U.S. citizens. Applicants must be a<br />

member <strong>of</strong> one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>following</strong> groups: 1) African American, 2) Hispanic, or 3) Native American. <strong>The</strong><br />

maximum annual award under <strong>the</strong> minority dental student scholarship program is $2,500. <strong>The</strong> number <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>scholarships</strong> awarded is dependent upon funds available. Program criteria is as follows:<br />

Minority Dental Student Scholarship – applicants must be entering second year, currently attending a dental<br />

school accredited by <strong>the</strong> Commission on Dental Accreditation; demonstrate a minimum financial need <strong>of</strong><br />

$2,500; and must <strong>have</strong> accumulative grade point average <strong>of</strong> 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale. Deadline July 31 st .<br />
