<strong>The</strong> Auxiliary <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Indiana Association <strong>of</strong> Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons has established <strong>the</strong> Dannin Foundation <strong>to</strong><br />

generate funds for loans <strong>to</strong> Indiana Students in osteopathic medical schools accredited by <strong>the</strong> American Osteopathic<br />

Association. <strong>The</strong> Foundation will award “forgivable” loans <strong>to</strong> Indiana students who are in <strong>the</strong> first or second years <strong>of</strong> study at<br />

one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 23 osteopathic medical schools. Deadline for submitting applications is December 31st<br />

o Demonstrate an interest in returning <strong>to</strong> Northwestern Indian/Southwestern Michigan area <strong>to</strong> practaice Osteopathic<br />

medicine (“area” is defined as being within a 60-mile radius <strong>of</strong> South Bend, Indiana. Indiana counties include: St.<br />

Joseph, Marshall, Elkhart, Kosciusko, Starke and LaPorte. Michigan counties include: Berrien, Cass and St. Joseph)<br />

o Demonstrate Financial need<br />

o Be <strong>of</strong> good moral character<br />

o Demonstrate good motivation <strong>to</strong>ward <strong>the</strong> practice <strong>of</strong> osteopathic medicine<br />

o Be available for a personal interview, if requested, by <strong>the</strong> Osteopathic Medical Foundation<br />
