• Risk Management Association (RMA) - Maine Chapter Scholarship Program
Who is eligible to apply? Applicants must be a dependent of an individual employed full-time by an RMA
member bank or dependent of an individual RMA associate. Applicant must be enrolled on a full-time basis at
an accredited institution of higher learning. applications accepted for all undergraduate courses of study.
However, special emphasis will be placed on individuals enrolled in a business or economic field of study.
Scholarship amount: $750
Application process: Applicant must fully complete the scholarship application. Applicant must provide an
official college transcript of grades. In a personal statement of 500 words or less, the applicant must describe
their personal goals and how their educational plans relate to them.

The Women Grocers of America (WGA) is pleased to assist the National Grocers Association (N.G.A.) in its
pursuit to recruit and retain the next generation of quality managers and entrepreneurs by offering at least two
academic scholarships per year worth a minimum of $1,000 each to students intending to pursue a career in the
independent sector of the grocery industry.
Independent retailers and wholesalers, their employees and families, including WGA and N.G.A. members, are
eligible to apply. Applicants must attend a U.S. college or university, have a 2.0 grade point average or better
and be entering sophomores or continuing students in good standing in a two-year, associate degree-granting
institution or four-year, bachelor degree-granting institution or graduate program.
To be considered, the completed scholarship application, transcript and other requested material must be
postmarked by June 1. Scholarship recipients will be chosen in a lottery from the qualified pool of applicants by
the WGA board of directors during their summer meeting.
