1999 — Inaugural season<br />
• Aug. 28 — First game in program history, UND<br />
defeats Jamestown College, 4-3.<br />
• Aug. 28 — April Bielejeski scores the first goal in<br />
program history, while Monica Vanderpool<br />
records the first assist.<br />
• Sept. 15 — April Bielejeski records schools’ first<br />
four-goal game in 6-2 triumph over<br />
Bemidji State.<br />
• Sept. 22 — UND shuts out Minnesota-Crookston,<br />
2-0 for team’s first home win at Bronson Field.<br />
2000<br />
• Sept. 30 — Tina Morse’s unassisted goal lifts<br />
Sioux to their first conference win, 3-2 over St.<br />
Cloud State.<br />
• Oct. 15 — UND’s 6-0 win over Augustana<br />
clinches the team’s first winning season, UND<br />
finishes the year at 12-6 over all and 5-4 in<br />
the NCC.<br />
• Nov. 1 — Sophomore April Bielejeski becomes<br />
the first Sioux player to be named All-<strong>North</strong><br />
Central Conference.<br />
2001<br />
• Jan. 8 — Angela Morrison named second head<br />
coach in program history.<br />
• Sept. 1 — UND wins first match played at<br />
Memorial Stadium, 1-0 over MSU, Moorhead.<br />
• Sept. 18 — UND starts the season at 5-1 to<br />
garner votes in the NSCAA Central Region poll<br />
for the first time ever.<br />
• Sept. 22 — Jen Cilz scores two goals to lead UND<br />
to first victory over rival <strong>North</strong> <strong>Dakota</strong> State, 2-1.<br />
• Nov. 1 — Jen Cilz becomes the second player to<br />
be named All-NCC.<br />
2002<br />
• Aug. 12 — Matt Granstrand named team’s third<br />
head coach.<br />
• Oct. 13 — Stephanie Pfeiffer’s second half goal<br />
lifts UND to 4-2 win at NDSU.<br />
• Oct. 20 — UND downs South <strong>Dakota</strong> State, 4-1<br />
at Brookings, S.D., to clinch first trip to<br />
conference tournament.<br />
• Nov. 8 — No. 3-ranked Nebraska-Omaha downs<br />
Sioux, 3-0, in UND’s first postseason game.<br />
• Dec. 3 — Stephanie Pfeiffer becomes UND’s<br />
first All-Region selection.<br />

2003<br />
• Sept. 16 — Fresh <strong>of</strong>f a 4-0 start, UND ranked No.<br />
25 in the country in NSCAA D-II poll.<br />
• Sept. 21 — UND downs Minnesota Duluth, 2-1,<br />
to extend program’s longest win streak to six.<br />
• Oct. 4 — Sioux knock <strong>of</strong>f No. 1-ranked Nebraska-<br />
Omaha, 2-0 at Bronson Field. This is the team’s<br />
first victory against a team ranked in the top<br />
ten nationally.<br />
• Oct. 6 — UND moves up to No. 6 in the nation<br />
with an 11-0 record.<br />
• Oct. 11 — UND’s 11-game win streak ends with a<br />
1-0 loss at South <strong>Dakota</strong> State.<br />
• Nov. 7 — Sioux earn team’s first play<strong>of</strong>f win by<br />
defeating Nebraska-Omaha at NCC tournament.<br />
• Nov. 10 — Team selected as the Central Region’s<br />
top seed in NCAA Tournament.<br />
• Dec. 12 — Jen Cilz and Stephanie Pfeiffer<br />
selected as third-team All-Americans.<br />
2004<br />
• Aug. 10 — Tim Bennett named head<br />
soccer coach.<br />
• Oct. 23 — Sioux score 3-2 victory over No. 11<br />
Nebraska-Omaha for third straight win<br />
over Mavericks.<br />
• Nov. 2 — Stephanie Pfeiffer named <strong>North</strong> Central<br />
Conference MVP.<br />
• Nov. 5 — Fighting Sioux advance to second<br />
straight NCC championship game by downing<br />
USD, 2-1.<br />
2005<br />
• June 20 — Brock Thompson named head<br />
soccer coach.<br />
• Oct. 26 — Sioux are ranked season-high third in<br />
NSCAA Central Region poll.<br />
• Oct. 28 — UND defeats the nation’s sixth-ranked<br />
team, Nebraska-Omaha, 1-0.<br />
• Nov. 7 — UND is invited to NCAA tournament for<br />
the second time in school history.<br />
• Nov. 10 — UND coach Brock Thompson is named<br />
NCC Co-Coach <strong>of</strong> the Year.<br />
• Nov. 11 — Nebraska-Omaha defeats the Sioux,<br />
5-0, in the NCAA Central Regional.
