North thDakota aoa 2013 NORTH DAKOTA BASEBALL Located in Grand Forks in the heart of the Red River Valley, the University of North Dakota is the largest and most diversified institution of higher learning in a three-state region. One of only 47 public institutions with both a law school and a medical school, UND consistently ranks by most measures as one of the top 150 universities in the United States. Its more than 14,000 students – including over 2,500 graduate students, 250 law students, and 240 medical students – come from every state in the union and more than 50 countries. Stretching out from the banks of the scenic English Coulee, the 548-acre University of North Dakota campus has been nationally recognized for its landscaping and beauty. The 242 buildings demonstrate both classic university architecture blended with more futuristic facilities in the Aerospace complex. UND’s newest additions are the remodeled and expanded energy-efficient and environmentally conscious Education Building, the $20 million Wellness Center, and University Place, an innovative apartmentstyle residence hall. With 218 fields of study and nearly 3,000 courses, including internationally recognized programs in aviation, aerospace, and Unmanned Aerial Systems, UND has a vast array of educational choices.
