In the Ministry of Education (MoE), GEP prepared for the workshop to roll out the gender-sensitive Curriculum Framework which was developed in Q1. In the Ministry of Economy, an effort to mainstream gender in the preparation of the macro level economic development strategy was stalled due to internal issues within the Ministry. was completed in the three provinces (Bamyan, Balkh and Nangarhar) and the research report is being drafted. The quarterly newsletter could not be completed due to a large-scale change of senior management in Kabul University but it planned for Q4 once meetings with the new management have been organized. However, a pilot training programme on mainstreaming gender was launched in the Faculty of Languages and Literature which was enthusiastically received by the students.
