Erasmus Darwin Academy, Chase<strong>to</strong>wn, is a<br />

school of approximately 860 pupils in south<br />

Staffordshire, dedicated <strong>to</strong> providing the best<br />

SEN provision possible <strong>to</strong> their students. This<br />

commitment along with the desire <strong>to</strong> achieve<br />

'Dyslexia Friendly Status' led the school <strong>to</strong><br />

purchase Read&Write GOLD, <strong>Texthelp</strong>'s awardwinning<br />

literacy support software.<br />

and inclusion<br />

The King's <strong>School</strong>, Devon, is an 11-18 comprehensive<br />

school with just over 140 staff and 1100 students.<br />

Penny Dowling, SEN Literacy Teacher at the <strong>School</strong>,<br />

believes their purchase of Read&Write GOLD literacy<br />

support software has been a "resounding success" as<br />

the solution has led <strong>to</strong> improvement in students' quality of work, their independent learning<br />

and self-esteem.<br />

<strong>Texthelp</strong>'s Read&Write donation <strong>to</strong><br />

Goedgedacht Trust, South Africa<br />

<strong>Texthelp</strong> were recently approached by Cowbridge<br />

Comprehensive <strong>School</strong>, based in the Vale of Glamorgan, <strong>to</strong><br />

donate a Read&Write 10 GOLD site licence <strong>to</strong> The<br />

Goedgedacht Trust, South Africa, whom the school<br />

supported and recently visited.<br />

David Griffiths, a teacher at Cowbridge Comprehensive<br />

states "During the summer, a group of children <strong>from</strong> the<br />

school visited the Goedgedacht Trust. <strong>Texthelp</strong>'s generous<br />

donation enabled the students <strong>to</strong> take a site licence of Read&Write GOLD assistive<br />

software with them."<br />

Read&Write GOLD software now available in all Northern Ireland<br />

<strong>School</strong>s!<br />

<strong>Texthelp</strong>'s Read&Write GOLD assistive software is now<br />

available in all Northern Ireland schools after a recent<br />

purchase and roll out of the software by C2K (who provide<br />

the ICT infrastructure for schools in Northern Ireland).<br />

Caroline Cuddy, Business Development Manager <strong>from</strong><br />

<strong>Texthelp</strong> Systems Ltd states, "I'm delighted <strong>to</strong> have been<br />

involved in this project, along with my colleagues at C2K.<br />

Every pupil in Northern Ireland can now take advantage of the additional support that<br />

Read&Write GOLD provides, and I know that this will be of significant help <strong>to</strong> pupils who<br />

have difficulties with their reading and writing. This is a fantastic opportunity for schools <strong>to</strong><br />

see how assistive technology can have a really positive impact on their pupils' learning."<br />

Ravens Wood <strong>School</strong><br />

Ravens Wood <strong>School</strong>, Kent, feel their recent purchase of Fluency Tu<strong>to</strong>r<br />

(<strong>Texthelp</strong>'s latest online software solution <strong>to</strong> improve reading and<br />

comprehension), has allowed teachers <strong>to</strong> be more productive with the<br />

use of their time in the classroom.<br />
