“(a) a duty which is relevant to the administration of the scheme in<br />

EU Directive (IORP Directive)<br />

<strong>The</strong> EU Directive on the activities and supervision of institutions for<br />

occupational retirement provision (IORP directive) formalises the need for<br />

the correct benefits to which they are entitled.<br />

Common law requirements<br />

Trustees have a fiduciary responsibility under common law based upon basic<br />

trust law principles to hold accurate and up-to-date information in relation to<br />
