BLT-Power Supply-Systems
The following switched mode plug-in
rectifiers and BLT-systems meet the
requirements for compact and reliable
power supplies and have the following
principal features:
The modular structure of the BLTsystems
allows adaptation to almost
all requirements. All BLT-systems are
General
The inverters can be connected in
parallel so systems with N+1
redundancy can be constructed.
Inverter range TEBEVERT
Parallel connection can be
used for increasing the
power, and thus system
extension on site is possible
for increasing power
demand.
Systems with up to 5 inverters
connected in parallel are
possible.
The use of modern semiconductors
with high switching frequencies
provides compact construction,
low weight and a very high efficiency.
TEBEVERT
Inverter
5000 VA
In order to increase the availability of
the system a mechanical by-pass can
be provided. In case of inverter failure
it automatically switches over to the
public mains (fig. 1) with a low changeover
time.
The EUE (static by-pass) is another
component for increasing the system
safety. Using the EUE the loads are
directly switched to the mains in case
of overload or faults in the
inverter (fig. 2 + 3). This switch-over
is made almost without interruption.
All monitoring and control units are
designed to be intrinsically safe
so that an uninterrupted supply of the
connected load is ensured.
These products have a very good
dynamic range. At load peaks of
0 %-100 % - 0 %, fluctuations and
voltage surges are corrected within a
very short time.
The plug-in inverters are available
with the output power 1000 VA, 1500 VA
(only 24 V), 2500 VA and 5000 VA.
The cabinets can be installed side by
side with rectifier cabinets of similar
design.
Loads of systems with EUE are
permanently supplied via the inverter.
The voltage gap, arising in the event of
failure in the inverter or overload, is
< 1,5 ms, so even sensitive electronic
loads can be supplied without any
problems. The overload behaviour is
approx. 5 x I rated for 100 ms, therefore
loads with high inrush currents can
also be connected.
General
With the increasing demand for power systems in
the telecommunication sector, and the need for
more efficient use of operating and maintenance
staff, Benning have produced a range of system
monitoring. The Benning MCU 500, MCU 1000 and
MCU 2000+ offer the user a solution depending
on the customer requirements.
BLT 150 and BLT 400 power systems are fitted
with MCU 500 (Optional MCU 1000) monitoring
system.
By means of local indication (13 off LED´s) and
numerical display, the system status can be
quickly assessed.
The MCU 1000 additionally offers direct communication,
via a RS 485 interface, with the rectifier
modules.
As an optional extra the MCU 1000 may be fitted
with a relay box having 8 volt free contact.
General
”BLT” Power Systems are designed
with the latest switch mode technology
and are suitable for all Telecom applications.
Modular DC Power Supply Systems BLT 150, BLT 400
with MCU 500/1000
The BLT 150 systems are able to feed
smaller DC loads (approx. 15 A up to
150 A), while the BLT 400 systems are
used for middle range (approx. 100 A
up to 400 A) and the BLT 2500/5000
for the large range (approx. 500 A up
to 5400 A).
The special features are good efficiency,
high power factor as well as a good
dynamic behaviour.
