TEBECHOP rectifier
for stationary battery systems
General
The plug-in rectifier range TEBECHOP is a family of up-to-date
high frequency switch-mode power supplies. The TEBECHOP
range is designed to provide DC for the load and to maintain
or recharge the parallel connected back-up batteries.
Because of their technical characteristics, especially their low
ripple current the TEBECHOP rectifier modules are very
suitable for the use with vented batteries and because of their
good dynamic performance, may be connected to loads
without batteries.

Range PDT 1800 and PDT 2700
The PDT 1800 and PDT 2700 series are primarily designed
for power supplies in the lower and middle power range.
They are equipped with a single-phase mains connection and
an active filter, so that the power factor at the input is almost 1
and that only effective power is taken from the mains.
Mechanical design
The devices are mounted in a 19" sub-module assembly
allowing to mount up to 6 modules next to each other in a
19" rack. Due to the Hot-Plug technology, the devices are
especially easy to handle and to service. For the installation
of redundant systems, the system is easily extended by
means of "Plug and Play".
Signalling and monitoring
All operating and failure indications are integrated as LEDs
into the front of the modules. The PDT 2700 series is additionally
equipped with a LC display to indicate output values as
well as push buttons to set different voltage levels.

Like the PDT series, the PDE 1800 and PDE 3000 series are
equipped with a single-phase mains connection and an active
filter for sinusoidal current consumption at the mains input as
standard.
Mechanical design
All rectifiers have a 19’’ design and can be built into system cabinets
for all kind of telecommunications and industrial applications.
All connections - AC, DC and alarms are behind the front plate.
Signalling and monitoring
The front panel of the rectifier modules is equipped with
LED’s for operation and alarm functions, output breaker,
mains switch and liquid crystal display to show DC voltage,
or DC current (switchable).

PDE 1800
MCU 1000 and MCU 2000+
The front panel of the MCU 1000, and MCU 2000+ feature
13 LEDs and an alphanumerical display providing a fast
overview regarding the basic data including alarm messages.
Included within the MCU 1000 and 2000+ are embedded
features including failsafe battery test function, temperature
compensation, and enhanced maintenance features.
The Tebechop rectifier modules communicate to the MCU via
the internal RS-485 bus. The system information from the
MCU 1000 or MCU 2000+ can be transmitted remotely via an
optional telephone modem or through communication via
Internet/Intranet to a central control station.

Power systems up to several thousand amps can be
designed with this rectifier module. The built-in temperaturecontrolled
forced ventilation allows a very compact design.

Mechanical design
The rectifier modules have a 19“ mechanical layout and
can be built into corresponding cabinets. All connectors are
behind the removable front panel.
The PDE 27000 serie is a Hot Plug version.
Signalling and monitoring
The front panel of the rectifier modules is equipped with
LED’s for operation and alarm functions, mains switch, a
liquid crystal display for DC voltage, DC current, temperature
and status functions. The push buttons on the front panel
allow the setting of different voltage levels.
