General<br />
The plug-in rectifier range TEBECHOP is a family of up-to-date<br />
high frequency switch-mode power supplies. The TEBECHOP<br />
range is designed to provide DC for the load and to maintain<br />
or recharge the parallel connected back-up batteries.<br />
Because of their technical characteristics, especially their low<br />
ripple current the TEBECHOP rectifier modules are very<br />
suitable for the use with vented batteries and because of their<br />
good dynamic performance, may be connected to loads<br />
without batteries.<br />

Range PDT 1800 and PDT 2700<br />
The PDT 1800 and PDT 2700 series are primarily designed<br />
for power supplies in the lower and middle power range.<br />
They are equipped with a single-phase mains connection and<br />
an active filter, so that the power factor at the input is almost 1<br />
and that only effective power is taken from the mains.<br />
Mechanical design<br />
The devices are mounted in a 19" sub-module assembly<br />
allowing to mount up to 6 modules next to each other in a<br />
19" rack. Due to the Hot-Plug technology, the devices are<br />
especially easy to handle and to service. For the installation<br />
of redundant systems, the system is easily extended by<br />
means of "Plug and Play".<br />
Signalling and monitoring<br />
All operating and failure indications are integrated as LEDs<br />
into the front of the modules. The PDT 2700 series is additionally<br />
equipped with a LC display to indicate output values as<br />
well as push buttons to set different voltage levels.

Like the PDT series, the PDE 1800 and PDE 3000 series are<br />
equipped with a single-phase mains connection and an active<br />
filter for sinusoidal current consumption at the mains input as<br />
standard.<br />
Mechanical design<br />
All rectifiers have a 19’’ design and can be built into system cabinets<br />
for all kind of telecommunications and industrial applications.<br />
All connections - AC, DC and alarms are behind the front plate.<br />
Signalling and monitoring<br />
The front panel of the rectifier modules is equipped with<br />
LED’s for operation and alarm functions, output breaker,<br />
mains switch and liquid crystal display to show DC voltage,<br />
or DC current (switchable).<br />

MCU 1000 and MCU 2000+<br />
The front panel of the MCU 1000, and MCU 2000+ feature<br />
13 LEDs and an alphanumerical display providing a fast<br />
overview regarding the basic data including alarm messages.<br />
Included within the MCU 1000 and 2000+ are embedded<br />
features including failsafe battery test function, temperature<br />
compensation, and enhanced maintenance features.<br />
The Tebechop rectifier modules communicate to the MCU via<br />
the internal RS-485 bus. The system information from the<br />
MCU 1000 or MCU 2000+ can be transmitted remotely via an<br />
optional telephone modem or through communication via<br />
Internet/Intranet to a central control station.<br />

Power systems up to several thousand amps can be<br />
designed with this rectifier module. The built-in temperaturecontrolled<br />
forced ventilation allows a very compact design.<br />

Mechanical design<br />
The rectifier modules have a 19“ mechanical layout and<br />
can be built into corresponding cabinets. All connectors are<br />
behind the removable front panel.<br />
The PDE 27000 serie is a Hot Plug version.<br />
Signalling and monitoring<br />
The front panel of the rectifier modules is equipped with<br />
LED’s for operation and alarm functions, mains switch, a<br />
liquid crystal display for DC voltage, DC current, temperature<br />
and status functions. The push buttons on the front panel<br />
allow the setting of different voltage levels.<br />
