Dear Colleagues<br />
Selection of Umpires – 2013 Liebherr World <strong>Table</strong> <strong>Tennis</strong> Championships to<br />
be held in Paris, France from 13 to 20 May 2013<br />
In our letter dated 5 December 2012, the Umpires and Referees Committee (URC)<br />
invited your Association to nominate <strong>International</strong> Umpires for the 2013 World <strong>Table</strong><br />
<strong>Tennis</strong> Championships. As exp<strong>la</strong>ined in that letter, it was an open invitation and<br />
some umpires nominated would not be selected. Based on the list of nominees and of<br />
Associations that respon<strong>de</strong>d, the URC has ma<strong>de</strong> the selections below.<br />
A formal invitation will be sent by the Organising Committee on request for visa<br />
purposes. The Organising Committee will provi<strong>de</strong> free hospitality from dinner on 12<br />
May 2013 through to breakfast on 21 May 2013. The nominees, or their Association,<br />
are responsible for all re<strong>la</strong>ted costs which must inclu<strong>de</strong> travel and medical insurance.<br />
An Advanced Umpire Training Course (AUT) will be conducted on 12 May 2013 from<br />
08h30 to 18h00. All qualified White Badge Umpires (see those highlighted in yellow<br />
and WB on the list below) selected for this event MUST attend this course.<br />
Participants (or their Associations) will be responsible for the course fee of US$40,00<br />
plus the additional night’s accommodation. Certified URC Trainers will conduct field of<br />
p<strong>la</strong>y evaluations for umpires working at the Championships.<br />
