Flight Manager<br />
The Flight Manager (FM) is supervised by the sending<br />
unit dispatcher until destination is reached. The FM is<br />
responsible for all personnel assigned on the manifest<br />
list. Duties are:<br />
• To explain to all personnel at the beginning of travel,<br />
transportation arrangements, type equipment, route<br />
of travel, stopping points, ETAs, etc.<br />
• To have multiple copies of manifests covering all<br />
personnel.<br />
• To ensure proper flight following procedures are met.<br />
• To have the telephone numbers of the sending and<br />
receiving dispatchers’ offices when delays of more<br />
than 30 minutes occur in order to give <strong>info</strong>rmation as<br />
to why and how long the delay will be.<br />
• To have all personnel within the weight limitations,<br />
assembled, ready to board transportation.<br />
• To provide for safety and welfare of each person<br />
assigned to the manifest list.<br />
• To ensure saws and other fuel containers are purged<br />
prior to loading.<br />
• To ensure no fuel- or lubricant-soaked items including<br />
clothing, chaps or bags are transported by aircraft.<br />
• To check pilot card and aircraft data card for currency<br />
and qualifications.<br />
• To ensure all passengers arrive at their destination.<br />
• To sign the Daily Flight report/Invoices.<br />
• To ensure all personnel have a copy of their resource<br />
order with request number and position assigned.<br />
• For Canadian travel, to ensure proper documentation<br />
is included as outlined in the Canadian/United States<br />
Operating Agreement (chapter 40).<br />
