available for deployment. Receives a briefing from the state or<br />

regional level aviation managers on the coordination of SEAT<br />

resources involving MAC groups.<br />

Assist the using agency with finding available SEMGs and<br />

temporarily fill in for SEMGs on their days off when necessary.<br />

May act as a liaison for the contractor to help identify and resolve<br />

concerns or conflict issues that may surface between the<br />

contractor, the SEMG or the using agency. Conflicts or concerns<br />

will be documented and reviewed with the Contracting Officer<br />

Representative (COR) or the Contract Officer (CO).<br />

Compile a comprehensive report on all SEAT operations that were<br />

reviewed within their assigned geographical area. The report will<br />

contain evaluations of contractor performance, SEAT base<br />

operations, SEMG evaluations and the agency’s utilization of the<br />

SEAT in their fire program.<br />

Serve as instructor cadre member when requested for the SEAT<br />

Manager’s course.<br />

D. Qualification Prerequisites.<br />

Must be a currently qualified SEMG with a minimum of five (5)<br />

years of experience as a SEMG.<br />

E. Experience Requirements.<br />

Must have successfully performed as a SEMG for five years.<br />

Must have successfully performed as a SECO-T under the direct<br />

supervision of a current and qualified SECO.<br />

F. Nomination and Approval Process.<br />

Nominations for the SECO positions will be submitted to the BLM<br />

<strong>National</strong> SEAT Program Manager through a State or Regional Level<br />

Aviation Officer. The nomination process requires written<br />

documentation of the nominee’s fire and aviation background, redcard<br />

qualifications, and SEAT experience. Selection for the SECO<br />

positions will be based on the individual’s field experience, aviation<br />

knowledge and program needs as determined by the BLM <strong>National</strong><br />

SEAT Program Manager.<br />
