the position, and perform all duties and responsibilities
identified for the SEMG position.
When a SEAT is located at a large Air Tanker Base, the
ATBM will be responsible for ensuring the safety and
contract compliance of the SEAT until the assigned SEMG
arrives, or the SEAT departs the base and is released back
to the SEMG after the agreed specified time.
The ATBM will provide the SEAT pilot and contractor
personnel with a thorough briefing on the operational
procedures at the large air tanker base prior to commencing
SEAT operations.
The SEMG will coordinate with the ATBM and the pilot to
assist resolving any issues related to sterile cockpit
environment prior to dispatching the SEAT.
The SEMG will coordinate with the ATBM regarding any
separate loading and refueling areas or procedures in the
event that SEAT loading is required to be separated from
large air tanker retardant loading operations.
If the SEAT is being loaded with retardant from established
pits, the SEMG will coordinate with the ATBM to ensure
that the appropriate separation from other aircraft is
maintained.
The ATBM is responsible for ensuring the SEMG receives
refractometer reading documentation for each load of
retardant ensuring compliance with manufacturer's
specification. (The SEAT contractor by contract is
required to maintain documentation of refractometer
readings).
The SEMG will coordinate with the ATBM for all their
logistical support, including but not limited to securing
adequate supplies of foaming agents, retardant and water
availability, providing rest and shaded areas, lodging and
meals, and providing ground transportation for the
contractor when required.
The ATBM will ensure the readiness of all assigned aircraft
