SEAT Driver Duty Chart (SEAT-005)<br />

Provide the fire management staff with the contractor’s<br />

estimated costs to transport relief crew members prior to<br />

ordering the relief crews. Reviews the contract<br />

specifications for relief costs and provides documentation<br />

on the <strong>Air</strong>craft Use Report (AMD 23E) if the costs exceed<br />

the limits identified in the contract.<br />

Accurately record the amount of retardant that is being<br />

delivered to the incident on the SEAT Daily <strong>Operations</strong><br />

Worksheet (SEAT-002) and the <strong>Air</strong>craft Use Report (AMD<br />

23E).<br />

Document the refractometer readings taken by the<br />

contractor on the SEAT Daily <strong>Operations</strong> Worksheet<br />

(SEAT-002). Ensure retardant lot quality acceptance by<br />

routing samples accordingly.<br />

Document the fuel quantity in hours and tenths of hour, as<br />

reported by the SEAT pilot prior to each flight on the SEAT<br />

Daily <strong>Operations</strong> Worksheet (SEAT-002).<br />

Complete the AMD Evaluation Report on Contractor<br />

Performance at the end of their assignment for each of the<br />

aircraft they have managed, and submit a copy to the<br />

Contract Officer (CO).<br />

Ensures the “READ File” is available for pilots to review<br />

and sign. The READ File can be found at:<br />

Document all aircraft maintenance on daily operations<br />

worksheet, and ensure COTR authorization to put aircraft<br />

back in contract availability if unscheduled maintenance<br />

resulted in unavailability. Communicate with local<br />

aviation manager.<br />

When SEAT aircraft are utilized by neighbor units, the<br />

originally assigned SEMG shall promptly contact the<br />

receiving SEMG/ATBM to discuss span of control and<br />

administrative duties.<br />
