Notify fire management staff when the retardant gallons
being delivered to the incident goes below 50% of the
SEAT’s contracted gallons, or below 300 gallons, which
ever is the greater.
Remind the contractor to engage the security system that
has been installed whenever the aircraft is left unattended.
3. Administrative Duties.
Determine the type of contract the SEAT was ordered under
(National On-Call, Variable Term or Exclusive Use), and
ensures compliance with contractual specifications.
Complete required administrative and operational forms as
required by local aviation management, and ensure that the
contractor completes records and reports as required by the
using agency.
Ensure the official SEAT Base Operating Plan (SEAT-Plan-
001) has been completed for the base, including that for
remote and temporary bases. The operations plans at Large
Air Tanker Bases, if they include SEAT Operations, will
satisfy this requirement. The assigned SEMGs of the
locations must be familiar with the plan in place.
Monitor contractor personnel for compliance with flight
time, driving time, and duty day limitations as contained in
the procurement document, and complete cumulative logs
for contractor personnel.
Ensure that the SEAT Pre-Use Information and Inspection
Sheet (SEAT-001) for each aircraft has been completed
and/or updated. If the SEMG is unable to confirm the
worksheet has been completed, the SEMG must complete
the form prior to operations.
Complete, or validate as applicable, the following
documentation for each aircraft managed, on a daily basis
regardless if any flight time has occurred
o Aircraft Use Report (AMD 23E)
o SEAT Daily Operations Worksheet (SEAT-002)
o SEAT Cost Summary Sheet (SEAT-003)
o SEAT Pilot Duty Chart (SEAT-004)
