Conduct daily briefings and debriefings with the pilots,<br />

other contract personnel and government employees<br />

assigned to the operation.<br />

Ensure the relief pilots have been fully briefed by the<br />

primary pilot they are replacing prior to the start of their<br />

relief cycle.<br />

Ensure the SEAT pilot receives a complete mission briefing<br />

prior to departure. When briefings are given to the pilot by<br />

someone other than the SEMG, e.g., during diverts or radio<br />

briefings at remote locations, the SEMG will document the<br />

information provided to the pilot on the SEAT Daily<br />

<strong>Operations</strong> Worksheet (SEAT-002).<br />

Obtain and review with the SEAT Contractor personnel any<br />

Incident Action Plan (IAP) that may have been developed<br />

for an incident.<br />

During periods of low fire activity, conduct re-fresher<br />

training consisting of simulation training exercises<br />

involving various aspects of SEAT operations. The<br />

refresher simulations will be documented on the SEAT<br />

Daily <strong>Operations</strong> Worksheet (SEAT-002).<br />

Ensure all required radio frequencies are programmed into<br />

the SEAT radios and are operating according to<br />

specifications.<br />

Establish communications needs at the base of operations<br />

and ensures that all base radio equipment is maintained in<br />

working order.<br />

Verify radio frequencies, including narrow or wide band<br />

programming, on a daily basis, as well as receiving and<br />

relaying orders to/from dispatch and to/from tactical<br />

aircraft.<br />

Ensure flight following and, if applicable, resource tracking<br />

is performed, and perform a pre-flight radio check. Notify<br />

the proper authorities of any overdue or missing aircraft.<br />

When required by contract or if the aircraft is utilizing an<br />
