1 Description<br />

The Elan Display Writer or DWTR is a portable, user-friendly programmer used to<br />

program all the 8-bit family OTP (One Time Programmable) and EM78F651 Flash<br />

Type microcontrollers. It interfaces with IBM PCs or compatibles through a printer<br />

port.<br />

The programming transition board used for programming control is wire connected to<br />

the chip programming pin in the DWTR.<br />

These <strong>Application</strong> <strong>Notes</strong> are provided to help customers in the selection of the<br />

appropriate transition board and the corresponding IC Type.<br />
