Whitney Popp Team Manager Whitney Popp enters her second season as a team manager for the <strong>Kentucky</strong> volleyball team. A junior at UK, she is the sister <strong>of</strong> former player Melissa Popp. The younger Popp will assist in practice setup, equipment, game-day assistance and administrative duties this season. Popp, a native <strong>of</strong> Indianapolis, Ind., graduated from Bishop Chatard High School in 2004 in Indianapolis. She was a member <strong>of</strong> the UK track and field team in 2005 where she finished with a personal best <strong>of</strong> 5:17 in the 1,600-meters. At BCHS, Popp was an honorable mention all-state cross country performer in 2003. She also garnered allregional and all-sectional cross country honors as a junior. Popp was a member <strong>of</strong> the National Honor Society and participated in volleyball and basketball as a prep. Popp, 19, is the daughter <strong>of</strong> Richard and Elizabeth Popp. She is a double major in accounting and finance and resides in Lexington. Ryan Suckow Team Manager Ryan Suckow enters his first season as a team manager for the <strong>Kentucky</strong> volleyball squad. A sophomore at UK, Suckow will assist in practice setup, equipment, game-day assistance and administrative duties this season. Suckow, a journalism major graduated from Holy Cross High School in Latonia, Ky., where he lettered four years in baseball and two years in basketball. Born June 4, 1988, Suckow resides in Lexington. Jill Kindy Team Nutritionist Jill Kindy joined the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Kentucky</strong> staff in August 1998 as a registered dietitian and serves as a nutrition consultant for the entire athletics department. Kindy came to <strong>Kentucky</strong> from Auburn, Ala., where she spent a year serving as the program coordinator for the Alabama Department <strong>of</strong> Public Health and a year as a clinical dietitian at the East Alabama Medical Center. The Bloomfield Hills, Mich., native earned her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State in 1993 before earning a master’s degree in health education from Alabama in 1995. Kindy also served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Alabama. She is married to David Kindy. The couple resides in Lexington and has two children - Andrew and Lauren. Jamie Moberly Event Manager Jamie Moberly begins his 16th year with the UK <strong>Athletics</strong> Association. He serves as the event manager for volleyball and also manages special events in Memorial Coliseum and UK’s many other athletics facilities. Moberly, a native <strong>of</strong> Lexington, received his bachelor’s degree from <strong>Kentucky</strong> in 1991 and earned a master’s degree in sport management from UK in 1994. 56 C o a c h e s a n d S t a ff Volleyball Support Staff Moberly and his wife Esther have a six-year-old son, Ethan. Amy Ratliff Assistant <strong>Media</strong> Relations Director/Volleyball Contact Amy Ratliff is in her third year as Assistant <strong>Media</strong> Relations Director at UK. Ratliff joined the Wildcat athletics department in December 2004 after a five-year stint in the same role at Eastern <strong>Kentucky</strong> <strong>University</strong>. This marks Ratliff’s second stint with UK. She worked for three years in the UK <strong>Media</strong> Relations <strong>of</strong>fice as both a student worker and a <strong>Media</strong> Relations Assistant from 1997-99. In March <strong>of</strong> 1999, Ratliff accepted a position as a <strong>Media</strong> Relations Intern for the Cincinnati Reds publicity <strong>of</strong>fice. The Owingsville, Ky., native is a member <strong>of</strong> the College Sports <strong>Info</strong>rmation Directors <strong>of</strong> America (CoSIDA). She received her degree in communications from UK in 1997. Ratliff resides in Lexington. Rodney Stiles Assistant <strong>Athletics</strong> Director/Event Management Rodney Stiles is in his 20th season with the <strong>Athletics</strong> Association, his sixth as an Assistant <strong>Athletics</strong> Director for Event Management. Stiles oversees the event management for all varsity events and selected non-university events. He supervises facility management at Commonwealth Stadium and serves as the game manager for all home football games and volleyball matches. His other duties include coordinating football parking and special events at the stadium and supervising all concessions. Previously, as the Director <strong>of</strong> Administrative Services, Stiles supervises the maintenance, scheduling and operations <strong>of</strong> Memorial Coliseum. He also managed the student ticket distribution for all men’s basketball and football games, coordinated football parking and oversaw transportation needs for all Olympic sports programs at UK. A native <strong>of</strong> Campbellsville, Ky., Stiles was a walk-on kicker on the UK football team from 1978-81 while earning his bachelors’ degree. He coached high school football in Owensboro, Ky., at Apollo High School from 1981-82. He returned to <strong>Kentucky</strong> in 1983-85 as a graduate assistant for Jerry Claiborne’s staff, coaching the running backs and assisting with recruiting.
