The Kentucky
Volleyball Experience
The student-athlete experience at the University
of Kentucky is second-to-none. Volleyball
players at UK have the most convenient
arrangements of perhaps any student-athletes in
the country.
The team lives in New North Hall, a stateof-the-art
residence facility opened in the fall of
2005 that combines a comfortable living atmosphere
with the convenience of having all necessary
academic and athletics facilities easily
within walking distance.
Each spacious room houses two studentathletes
and features a dresser, wardrobe,
desk and bookcase for each resident with a
private sink in each room. Four students
share a connecting bathroom.
Volleyball players dine at the adjacent
Blazer Hall and are just a block from both
the University’s campus and Memorial Coliseum,
the exclusive practice and match home
of the Wildcats.
The volleyball team also benefits from the
100,000 square-foot Joe Craft Center, an expansion
off the North side of Memorial Coliseum,
that features brand-new training and
strength and conditioning facilities.
Players have the opportunity to succeed
both academically and athletically at UK, as the
Wildcats have made back-to-back NCAA Tournament
appareances and at least five studentathletes
in each of the past two years have been
named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
Coming to Kentucky truly gives a studentathlete
the opportunity to experience the best of
all worlds.
The Best of All Worlds
Kentucky volleyball players live within a block of Memorial Coliseum, Blazer Dining Hall
and the University’s classrooms and bookstore. Student-athletes are just a short walk away
from one of the nation’s finest collegiate libraries.
