Derek Anderson - (1997) Was a secondteam<br />

All-Rookie performer for the Cleveland<br />

Cavaliers <strong>in</strong> 1998. Played for the Houston Rockets<br />

before sign<strong>in</strong>g as a free agent with Miami prior to<br />

the 2005-06 season and help<strong>in</strong>g lead the Heat to<br />

their first NBA Championship. Currently plays for<br />

George Atk<strong>in</strong>s - (1963) Former director<br />

<strong>of</strong> public relations at Humana Corporation. Has<br />

served as state auditor, secretary <strong>of</strong> cab<strong>in</strong>et, secretary<br />

<strong>of</strong> f<strong>in</strong>ance and state auditor for public<br />

accounts.<br />

Adrian Back, Jr. - (1942) Chairman,<br />

President and C.E.O. <strong>of</strong> a bank <strong>in</strong> Hodgenville.<br />

Kelenna Azubuike - (2005) Plays for the<br />

Golden State Warriors.<br />

Scotty Baesler - (1963) Formerly the popular<br />

still active <strong>in</strong> politics.<br />

Antwa<strong>in</strong> Barbour - (2004) Currently<br />

play<strong>in</strong>g pr<strong>of</strong>essional basketball <strong>in</strong> Spa<strong>in</strong>.<br />

Former Rupp’s Runts star Larry Conley is<br />

a television college basketball color analyst.<br />

Dale Barnstable - (1950) Earned eight<br />

varsity letters at UK <strong>in</strong> hoops, track and golf.<br />

Served <strong>in</strong> WWII. Won the <strong>Kentucky</strong> Senior State<br />

Am <strong>in</strong> golf <strong>in</strong> ’86 and ’94. Currently, president <strong>of</strong><br />

Barnstable Enterprises and spend<strong>in</strong>g time <strong>in</strong><br />

Florida and Louisville.<br />

Dickey Beal - (1984) Drafted <strong>in</strong> the fourth<br />

round <strong>of</strong> the NBA by the Atlanta Hawks. Work<strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>in</strong> Northern <strong>Kentucky</strong> <strong>in</strong> pharmaceutical sales.<br />

Bret Bearup - (1985) Played one year <strong>of</strong><br />

pr<strong>of</strong>essional ball <strong>in</strong> Europe. Currently work<strong>in</strong>g for<br />

the NBA’s Denver Nuggets.<br />

Ed Beck - (1958) Is currently a m<strong>in</strong>ister <strong>in</strong><br />

Sun City West, Ariz.<br />

W<strong>in</strong>ston Bennett - (1988) Drafted <strong>in</strong> the<br />

third round <strong>of</strong> the NBA draft by the Cleveland<br />

Cavaliers. Played one year <strong>in</strong> the CBA, two with the<br />

Cavs and f<strong>in</strong>ished his pro career with the Miami Heat.<br />

Was an assistant coach with UK and the Boston Celtics<br />

and head coach <strong>of</strong> <strong>Kentucky</strong> State. Now head coach at<br />

Mid-Cont<strong>in</strong>ent.<br />

Clifford Berger - (1968) Drafted by the<br />

NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks. Currently an oral and<br />

maxill<strong>of</strong>acial surgeon <strong>in</strong> Savannah, Ga.<br />

Bill Bibb - (1954) Is currently the commissioner<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Atlantic Sun Conference.<br />

Jerry Bird - (1956) Retired as the human<br />

resources adm<strong>in</strong>istrator from the American<br />

Greet<strong>in</strong>gs Corporation <strong>in</strong> Corb<strong>in</strong>.<br />

James Blackmon - (1987) Drafted <strong>in</strong> the<br />

fifth round <strong>of</strong> the NBA draft by New Jersey.<br />

Currently a teacher and assistant basketball coach<br />

<strong>in</strong> Marion, Ind.<br />

J.P. Blev<strong>in</strong>s - (2002) Is currently work<strong>in</strong>g<br />

for the <strong>Kentucky</strong> State Parks and Recreation<br />

department.<br />

Harry Bliss - (1935) Retired GE sales representative<br />

<strong>in</strong> Wilm<strong>in</strong>gton, Del.<br />

Keith Bogans - (2003) Drafted 43rd<br />

overall <strong>in</strong> the 2003 NBA Draft. Currently play<strong>in</strong>g<br />

for the Orlando Magic.<br />

Sam Bowie - (1984) Retired after an 11-year<br />

NBA career with the Portland Trailblazers and the<br />

LA Lakers. Now lives <strong>in</strong> Lex<strong>in</strong>gton and is <strong>in</strong>volved<br />

<strong>in</strong> the standardbred horse <strong>in</strong>dustry.<br />
