This year’s <strong>parade</strong> was a salute to the<br />
military and those who serve our country.<br />
Our float featured nine 72” plush alligators<br />
dressed in clothing to represent different<br />
professions: soldier, contractor, artist,<br />
musician, physician, football player, chef,<br />
astronaut and firefighter. All faced Judy, their<br />
conductor, and growled in unison – except for<br />
the soldier who faced backward and saluted<br />
the crowd. Placards with military logos were<br />
displayed across the back of the trailer. Ten<br />
UF students rode in the truck bed cheering<br />
to our awesome sound system to Gator fight<br />
songs and dancing to early Beatles music.<br />
Jeff Lajza drove the truck and his daughter<br />
Callie was DJ. Lori Eubanks and daughter<br />
Gracie also rode on the float with Judy.
